Rodrygo does not believe he will move to Real Madrid early as the Brazilian sensation prepares to join Santiago Solari’s side in July.
Los Blancos agreed a fee in the region of €45 million to sign the 17-year-old attacker from Santos.
But the Sao Paulo native – who celebrates his 18th birthday next month – does not expect to move to the Spanish capital in the winter transfer window.
“I don’t believe there is a chance I will leave for Madrid early,” Rodrygo said to Gazeta Esportiva. “It’s agreed that I’m going in July.
“That agreement is between Santos and Real Madrid.
“I’m focused on Santos.
“When I get there, I will think about it, but for the moment I just want to stand out with Santos.”
Rodrygo has scored eight goals and provided three assists in his 35 appearances to date in the Brazilian top flight.
