Barcelona and Manchester City will have to fork out in excess of €80 million to sign Tanguy Ndombele, according to the Express.

Reports in Lyon claim the two clubs are chasing the highly-rated midfielder, who already has four senior caps for France to his name.

The 21-year-old has played 28 games across all competitions for Les Gones this season, in which he has scored two and assisted four.

Manchester United and Tottenham are also said to be tracking the player who only signed a new five-year-deal at Groupama Stadium in September.

The winter transfer window is just a month away, but that hasn’t stopped the rumours of various players potentially being on the move.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in January.

GONZALO HIGUAIN

Chelsea are keen on signing Higuain from AC Milan in a swap deal with Alvaro Morata, according to Sky in Italy.

It is understood Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has huge respect for Higuain, who he worked with at Napoli, and was interested in bringing the Argentine to Chelsea in the summer.

Sky in Italy understands Morata is keen to return to Serie A having previously spent two years with Juventus where he won two league titles and two Coppa Italias.

At his news conference on Friday, Sarri called Higuain a “wonderful player” but refused to discuss a potential move for the Argentina international.

“As you know, I like him very much. He is a wonderful player, a wonderful man,” Sarri said.

CLAUDE PUEL

Leicester City manager Puel could be sacked if results do not improve soon, according to the Sun.

Puel met with the club’s chiefs after their 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace last weekend, with the Foxes having only won two of their last eight games in all competitions.

The Foxes have a difficult next two games, as they battle Chelsea followed by Manchester City.

BENJAMIN PAVARD

Bayern Munich have an agreement in place to sign France international Pavard, according to ESPN.

The Stuttgart defender has a €35 million (£32m) release clause which can be triggered next summer.

However, there is a possibility Bayern will be willing to pay more in order to land Pavard in January.

TIMOTHY WEAH

Paris Saint-Germain teenager Weah is nearing a move to join Strasbourg on loan, according to L’Equipe.

The United States international has not received much first-team action this season with the Ligue 1 leaders and is interested in trying to land more playing time.

PSG want Weah to play as well, so they will agree to a short-term move with their fellow Ligue 1 side.

Across the world of football, there remains plenty of activity and stories that have football fans talking.

Here, we look at the latest transfer deals that could happen when the market reopens in January.

PAUL POGBA

Juventus will not ditch their attempts to sign Pogba after Manchester United’s sacking of Jose Mourinho, report Calciomercato.

The Serie A champions thought they had a better chance of bringing the France international back to Turin in the summer rather than in January.

Mourinho’s sacking has not changed Juve’s stance, with the Italian club hopeful of re-signing Pogba in the summer, although the move could hinge on United’s appointment of a full-time manager.

MESUT OZIL

Mesut Ozil celebrates

Former Arsenal midfielder Perry Groves believes the Gunners could offload Ozil to Paris Saint-Germain in January with Adrien Rabiot coming in the other direction.

Rabiot simply lost his place at PSG but “nothing broke” between the midfielder and Thomas Tuchel, according to the coach. Rabiot is suspended from the team, but Tuchel claims the midfielder being dropped prior – his last start was December 5 – had to do with performance and not anything else.

“I think PSG could be an option for him (Ozil),” Groves told the Daily Star.

“One, they can pay his wages, but two, they’ve got the lad Adrien Rabiot. Emery likes him because he plays in the ten role but also works hard. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a little swap deal on the cards.”

JADON SANCHO

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Bundesliga sensation Sancho.

Sancho has established himself as one of the most promising wonder-kids in Europe after tearing up the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund this season.

The 18-year-old joined the German side from Manchester City’s academy in search of playing time.

Madrid were one of the many clubs that tired securing his signature when he was looking to leave City and Marca report that Los Blancos are keeping tabs on the teenager.
