Barcelona loan addition Jeison Murillo has vowed to convince the La Liga champions to make his “dream” of a permanent deal come true.
Murillo, 26, has been drafted in from Valencia as centre-back cover for the second half of the season. The 27-time Colombia international was paraded at Camp Nou on Thursday.
“My dream is to convince the club with my performances and keep defending this shirt. I have to show that on the pitch,” said the ex-Inter Milan defender at his presentation.
“I am very happy with this opportunity. God opened the biggest door there is for me in football, it’s a dream come true.
“I am grateful too to the club and now I only have to work to make the coach decide (if I should play) in each game.
“My dream is to keep wearing this shirt, but I have to show it on the pitch.”
Murillo made only one La Liga appearance for Los Che in the first half of 2018/19, after falling out of favour under head coach Marcelino.
