Luka Modric has rejected Real Madrid’s offer of an extension on his current deal, which is set to expire in 2020, according to AS.
The 33-year-old, who has two years remaining on his contract at the Bernabeu, has a desire to join compatriots Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic and Sime Vrsaljko in the Italian capital.
Madrid are aware of the Nerazzurri’s intentions, but it is unlikely Perez will sanction a deal, unless the European champions can sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a potential replacement.
