Jordi Cruyff, son of late Johan Cruyff, has urged Dutch wonder-kids Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt to move to Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are the other two clubs who are trying to acquire the signature of De Ligt, but Cruyff believes that the duo are better off choosing the Catalan club, stating that they offer more security.

He gave his thoughts in a column in Dutch Newspaper De Telegraaf.

“Money is not important when clubs like PSG and Man City show interest. Whoever you choose, it’s always good. The key is how you take the correct decision.”

“Pep Guardiola is the perfect coach for De Jong and De Ligt but, what will happen when he goes? Will Man City stay betting on the same DNA? The same applies to PSG, what happens if the owners get bored?”

“In that sense, Barca offers more security,” he added. “Whoever the coach is or whoever runs the club, the sporting policy is always the same. As a player, you’re never dependent on who is in charge.”
