  • Barcelona are open to offers for Philippe Coutinho with the Brazilian continuing to struggle at the club, according to Goal,

The former Liverpool star has been linked with a move to the Premier League club’s rivals Manchester United, but the report claims Coutinho is not keen on a return to England after his family struggled to settle in the country during his initial four-year spell there.

Barcelona paid £103 million last January to bring Coutinho to Camp Nou, but after showing promise during the last campaign, this season has been a different story as he’s made just 16 league starts, and 10 substitute appearances.

The emergence of Ousmane Dembele, the club’s record signing, has limited Coutinho’s opportunities, and as his form has suffered he’s fallen out of favour with Ernesto Valverde, with the Barcelona manager often opting to leave him out of the starting XI and picking other players to bring on as substitutes.

Paris Saint-Germain are the likeliest destination, as Coutinho’s friend and compatriot Neymar is already at the club, and the Ligue 1 champions are among the only sides capable of matching his wages.

For now, Coutinho is still determined to fight for his place at Barcelona, and the 26-year-old has support from the rest of the squad as he tries to turn his form around. However, there is a growing acceptance that he may have to look for a new club this summer.
