  • Paris St Germain have signed Sevilla attacking midfielder Pablo Sarabia on a five-year deal, the French champions have announced.

Sarabia’s future had been the subject of speculation this summer after a fine season for the Spanish side, scoring 12 goals and creating 13 others.

The transfer has been made after PSG reportedly triggered a £16million release clause in the 27-year-old’s contract.

Sarabia, a former Spain Under-21 international, came through the Real Madrid youth ranks but made just one first-team appearance before joining Getafe in 2011.

He moved to Sevilla following Getafe’s relegation from the top flight in 2016.

His performances over the past year had seen him linked with a return to the Bernabeu but it was PSG who made the move.

Sevilla had offered a new deal but – with talks not progressing and his contract due to expire in 2020 – decided to sell.
