  • EFC U-12's could cap a perfect season against Al Wasl on Saturday

E-Sports Football Club’s (EFC) Under-12 team can complete a perfect season with victory in the final game of the UAE Youth Pro League on Friday against Al Wasl.

It’s been an incredible campaign for the squad, who are just one game away from an unbeaten season, having won 16 games and drawn one since the start of the term, which kicked off last October.

Competing in the UAE Pro League’s 2004 age category for a third consecutive season, EFC will be hoping for glory after finishing third a year ago.

The game will be played at Al Shabab Football Club, with kick-off at 16:30, and is sure to be a tense encounter between the league’s two best sides who are joint leaders, so something has to give with whoever wins crowned champions.

    E-Sports Football Club's record

    • EFC U-12's have played 17 games since the season kicked off last October
    • Of those games they've won 16 and drawn just one

“E-Sports Football Cub’s 2004 development squad have been on an incredible unbeaten run since the season kicked off in October, said E-Sports’ director of football, Terry Kidd.

“Against the odds EFC have competed against the countries’ best youth players from top pro clubs such as Al Wasl, Al Shabab and Al Jazira to name a few.

“This is the third consecutive season EFC have competed in the Pro League as the only private academy to do so and they came close last year by finishing third.

“This year the 2004 group have shown incredible skill, unity and professionalism to show the capability of playing at this level against local giants such as Al Wasl.”

    EFC squad for the final:

Nathan Hecq, Omar Alashkar, Sarthak Suri, Thomas Hadden, Nick Hupe, Jay Baisley, Louis Donaldson, Arran Dunnit, Ben Clarke, Nikolai Nikitenko, James Valkenburg, Zia Mussa, Mikal Versi, Souphiane Ourzik
