  • Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid lead the way in this week's Valora fan ratings.

Each week, Sport360 will be bring you the best five players from the Champions League, as chosen by you the supporters through our ValoraFutbol fan ratings tool.

YOU have direct influence on who appears in each Top Five so be sure to rate each weekend.

    1) CRISTIANO RONALDO (REAL MADRID) – 6.50

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 12th Champions League goal of the season as Real Madrid cruised to a 2-0 first leg victory at Roma in the last 16. Domestically the Portugese has come under fire for not scoring enough away goals, but on this night his deflected off Alessandro Florenzi was enough to break Roma’s resistance and end the contest.

As well as being a constant threat on the ball, his pace and vision off the ball allowed teammates such as Karim Benzema more time and space in attack.

    2) JULIAN DRAXLER (WOLFSBURG) – 6.39

Julian Draxler scored two classy goals in Wolfsburg’s significant 3-2 away win over Belgian side Gent in their round of 16 first leg match. Draxler provided the creative flair that the Germans have been so badly missing in recent times and scored either side of half-time.

Gent are known for their defensive resolve but Draxler used all of his trickery and pace to score his first goal, while a nutmeg en route to his second highlighted the range of his talents.

    3) RAPHAEL VARANE (REAL MADRID) – 6.37

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has told Jose Mourinho he has no chance of signing Raphael Varane if he becomes Manchester United. Tributes do not come much higher than that. Real struggled for fluency in attack in the first half against Roma, but twice had the Frenchman to thank for keeping the game goalless.

First the centre back intercepted a dangerous through ball from Mohamed Salah to Diego Perotti, before he put his body on the line to block a shot by Stephan El Shaarawy.

    4) KEVIN TRAPP (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN) – 6.05

Eden Hazard was at his most dangerous best against PSG but for all of his surging runs and pinpoint accuracy, Trapp prevented the Belgian from gaining assists on several occasions.  The goalkeeper’s first moment of genius came when he tipped Deigo Costa’s header onto the bar, using pure instincts to get to the ball.

Then in the 77th minute, with Chelsea chasing the game Trapp came off his line to fumble any chance of Oscar scoring the equalising goal after a dangerous through ball undid the Parisian defence.

    5) ANGEL DI MARIA (PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN) – 6.04

Angel di Maria thrives in his free roaming role at PSG and caused havoc in the Chelsea defence. Louis van Gaal did not place enough trust in the Argentine during his time at Manchester United and it is no wonder that he left the club.

Di Maria’s influence on the game grew as time went on and his drifting role across the top of his team’s formation meant the Chelsea defence was constantly guessing as to his whereabouts. As for the the assist for Edinson Cavani’s winner? Simply glorious.
