Ronaldo’s fitness has been under the microscope since he sustained a thigh injury against Villarreal last month and now Real Madrid will be sweating over their forward’s availability for the crunch clash with Atletico Madrid.

The Portuguese has exhibited signs of improvement in recent weeks but his inability to complete the full 90 minutes as a precautionary measure against Deportivo La Coruna was a little troubling for Los Blancos fans.

And on Tuesday, Ronaldo was visibly distressed after a training ground collision with Kiko Casilla that saw Real’s No. 7  finish his session early. It was the third successive session that Ronaldo has failed to complete.

Ronaldo, who is looking to claim his third Champions League winner’s medal following triumphs with Manchester United in 2008 and Madrid in 2014, has appeared confident about his involvement in the Saturday’s final, but Real are treading with caution.
