Liverpool suffered the loss of 44-goal top scorer Mohamed Salah to injury as Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev was goalless at half-time.
The Egyptian forward was forced off by a shoulder injury on 31 minutes after a tangle with Real defender Sergio Ramos, and replaced by England international Adam Lallana.

Carvajal forced off
Injuries were the theme of the first half as Dani Carvajal was forced off 37 minutes into the game.
That play with Sergio Ramos happens 100 times and no one gets injured. It’s unlucky for Salah but to say Sergio Ramos intentionally injured Saah is ridiculous. #UCLFinal— FootballFacts101 (@FootballFact101) May 26, 2018

Football is a cruel cruel game. Salah & Carvajal out. Both teams trying hard. No team prevailing so far. Decent.
Salah goes off in tears

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah handed Egypt a huge injury blow ahead of the World Cup after being forced off with a shoulder injury just half an hour into the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury when Sergio Ramos took the ball away from him. As Ramos forced him to fall forward, he took the Reds attacker with him, landing heavily on his left shoulder.
Salah, who scored 44 goals in all competitions in his debut season at Anfield, was in tears as he left the field to be replaced by Adam Lallana.
