  • End in sight: Next Friday’s event is the final 2XU Triathlon Championship race of the season.

Swim, bike and run your way to glory in the third and final race of the 2XU Triathlon Championship season.

Taking place at Mamzar in Dubai on Friday, March 17, the popular event, organised by Super Sports UAE, will bring an end to the race series which kicked off in October last year.

Whether you’re an advanced triathlete who has competed in the previous two races, or a beginner who wants to get their feet wet, there’s still time to enjoy a jam-packed morning of fitness in the calm water of the lagoon and closed-road track.

Various distances are on offer for the age groups. The Junior Super Sprint, for youngsters aged under 13, will feature a 180m swim, 8km cycle and 1.25km run.

The Super Sprint, meanwhile, will be a step up with a 375m swim, 8km cycle and 2.5km run, followed by the Sprint, a 750m swim, 24km cycle and 5km run.

Finally, the longest distance available for competitors, the Olympic, will have a challenging course consisting of a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run.

For those wanting to compete in relays, teams can be made up of two or three different athletes and will involve tagging in team-mates in the transition area following the swim and cycle.
