Having started on March 31, numbers have already been encouraging so far and with it running until April 29, there’s still time for parents to enroll their children and see why it’s highly rated.
Held from 11:00 to 17:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, kids between five-years and 12 will not be left of options with plenty of sporting activities to keep them occupied.
ZSC are no strangers to hosting holiday camps with their Spring and Summer editions vastly popular, paving the way for management to make it a more regular thing.
“We’re constantly looking for new and unique ways to activate Zayed Sports City, and our kids activities have been very popular,” said Barry Bremner, general manager at Zayed Sports City.
“We have taken the best parts of our existing kids programmes and put them together into the ZSC Kids Weekend Club which gives the opportunity for kids to be active while parents can enjoy activities on offer at ZSC or to do other things they are unable to do during the week.
“Kids on our programmes always talk about how much they love ice skating and bowling, so we will be including that for sure. There are also group games and arts and crafts planned. We may do fitness sessions, picnic races, football, billiards or any number of other activities on any given day.”
Prices for the two days costs Dh300 while the daily rate is Dh200 per person. With two more weekends to go, Bremner insists there’s plenty of positives for parents to enroll their children.
“There are many reasons why a family would choose to enroll,” he said. “The main one being that we’re offering a high-quality, active child-care opportunity that kids are sure to enjoy.
“Being a father myself, there were certainly weekends when we had obligations that the kids would have rather skipped.
“That is certainly one reason why parents may choose to register by giving their children something productive to do while they do the errands.
“Other parents will choose to register in order to keep their kids active because we are planning lots of sports and activities throughout the day. All in all, the ZSC Kids Weekend Club meets all of these needs.”
