There are few venues in the UAE better suited to take in live sport than McGettigan’s and the popular establishment has added a fifth Dubai location to cater to even more visitors.
The Irish pub and restaurant is already a fan favourite in the UAE, thanks to its buzzing environment, live sport, music, comedy, and food and drink.
Now, McGettigan’s patrons can get the same Irish craic they know and love at the newest location in the UAE, the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah on JBR Walk.
Not only is the JBR venue the fifth venue in Dubai, but it’s also the seventh location in the country. However, it’s the first one next to the beach, making it a prime spot at the iconic Hilton hotel that was previously occupied by local stalwart Studio One.
Situated in the heart of JBR Walk, visitors also have the option to hit The Beach, shop, dine or just stroll through Dubai Marina nearby.
Dennis McGettigan, CEO of McGettigan’s Group, said: “We are both delighted and proud to establish this partnership with
Hilton, and look forward to opening what will be a great addition to the McGettigan’s portfolio, in one of the most well established beach properties in Dubai.”
When it comes to watching live sport, McGettigan’s is always a popular choice.
With their range of large screen televisions, it’ll be the perfect spot to watch everything from rugby to football, GAA to golf and cricket to UFC. Whatever sport you’re a fan of, McGettigan’s will have you covered during their hours of operation, which run form 16:00 to 03:00.
There’s also Happy Hour running daily from 16:00 to 20:00 (until 21:00 on Thursdays), meaning you can stop by after work with your colleagues and bond at the watering hole.
And, of course, McGettigan’s wouldn’t be what it is without its hearty Irish menu. Enjoy favourites like Fish & Chips, Irish Stew, Prime Rib-Eye and more, while feasting on breakfast, lunch and dinner with a range of offers and promotions throughout the week.
Check out the newest McGettigan’s location and see for yourself why it’s a go-to spot for sport, entertainment and dining.

The SST Super Sprint Triathlon Series gets under way this Saturday and if you want to hop on your bike, there’s still time to sign up ahead of Thursday’s deadline.
To be held at Rashid School for Boys in Dubai, the event consists of short, technical and intense races, mixing up the standard swim, cycle and run disciples – lending a new and exciting perspective to racing triathlons.
Sanctioned by Dubai Sports Council, contestants will swim 100m, cycle for 3km and then run for 1km.
“This race format will allow athletes to do the same course in three separate races but in three different formats,” explains race director Warren van der Merwe from Super Sports Events, the company organising the day.
“Race One will follow the run – bike – swim format. Everyone will have 30 minutes to finish the course and then Race Two will start. “If you have not completed the course within the 30 minutes, you may not start Race Two and will have to wait for Race Three.
So the sooner you finish the more time you will have to rest before the start of Race Two. “In the second race – Race Two – it will follow the format bike – swim – run but start with a short run to spread the field out before entering transition.
“Once again you will have 30 minutes to finish this race. The final race of the day will be a swim – bike – run where swimmers will start in intervals of five seconds and then complete the course within 30 minutes.”
“SST Triathlon Championship ranking points will be awarded to the overall finish rankings and these will accumulate over four different races, with the top 20 men and top 10 ladies receiving free entry to TriYAS (the region’s only day to night triathlon) early next year,” he added.
Male and female categories will be divided in to the following age groups: under 13 years, 14 to 18 years, 19-39 years, 40+ years with medals for top three in each category.
In addition, there will be overall trophies for the top three males and females.
