  • The 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship returns to Yas Island this week, offering fans both the chance to watch some of the world’s greatest golfers in action and a range of thrilling activities for all the family.

    Alongside the excitement of a Rolex Series event as players such as European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald and 2018 Open Champion Francesco Molinari battle for the Falcon Trophy, the prestigious tournament’s Championship Village offers something for everyone from January 19-22.

    The off-course fan experience will be bigger and better than ever, with themed days such as Ladies’ Day and Family Day. Best of all, these events are available for free.

    There is so much to explore at the tournament, and below are eight activities not to be missed:

    DON’T MISS A BEAT WITH LIVE MUSIC ACTS EVERYDAY

    Live music will return to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship with multi-award-winning soul band Abri Music, Dubai-based R&B band The Tasty Biscuits and Lebanese vocalist Amanda Maalouf among the variety of stars set to headline the main stage in the Championship Village after the conclusion of play on each day.

    ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES

    From magic tricks to bouncy castles, youngsters will have the chance to explore the Championship Village away from the course. Other activities on offer include drum workshops, the singing princess and a brilliant bubble show ensuring children can have fun and unleash their creativity.

    WITNESS MIND-BLOWING GOLF TRICKS WITH THE TRICK SHOT BOYS

    Visitors can also head to the driving range for golf’s ultimate double act – The Trick Shot Boys. World Trick Shot Champion Geoff Swain and talented trick shot artist Kevin Carpenter have teamed up to create a truly unique experience in golfing entertainment set to capture the imagination of all in attendance.

    INSPIRED KIDS CAN GIVE GOLF A GO WITH THE FUTURE FALCONS PROGRAMME

    Future generations of golfing talent will have the chance to show off their skills with a series of challenges whilst learning the basic golfing fundamentals of swing, chip and putt. The Future Falcons programme developed by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and HSBC has seen 80,000 children introduced to golf and continues their commitment to inspiring the next generation of golfers.

    DRESS TO IMPRESS ON LADIES DAY

    Vibrant, celebratory and steeped in tradition, Saturday at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is once again Ladies Day. A day to see and be seen, as all spectators are invited to glam up and show off with prizes on offer for the Best Dressed. Glam up at the glitter station in the morning, and then make the most of the free ladies golf clinics throughout the day. All ladies will also receive two free drinks vouchers to be redeemed on site.

    Sunday is Family Day. Treat the family to a day out at the golf and enjoy a host of activities and entertainment, including FREE ice cream.
