It is the first time that the Sultanate of Oman has hosted the Arab Golf Championship, which takes place from Novermber 9-12 at the Ghala Golf Course.

Staged annually, the event rotates venues among the members of the Arab Golf Federation, the 72-hole stroke play championship kicks-off a busy three months for the UAE team.

Following the Oman event, the UAE golfers begin an intense training schedule ahead of taking part in the Eisenhower Trophy.

Representing the UAE in Oman will be Khalid Yousuf, Saif Thabet, Ahmed Skaik, Rashid Hamood, and Sohail Al Marzouqi.

The Championship is run over four rounds as the best three scores in a team of four are counted each round.

The individual scores of players from each country are also recognised for individual Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals.
