What Went Wrong get it all right at 17th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge

    Everything went right for the uniquely named What Went Wrong team as they won the first qualifying round of the 17th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge.

    At the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, James Voce and Parvez Merchant teamed up well to take home the top honour with a score of 40 among the 40 two-person teams that signed up to the play the first qualifying event of the new season.

    Second-place were Ashok Sindhu and Anish Bhatia, from Mas Clear Sight, with a score of 39, followed by Vivian Verma and Sanjoy Das from NMT Pole Star, with 38.

    What Went Wrong and Mas Clear Sight lead the top-five placed teams from the first UAE qualifier, who will play in the grand final in Ras Al Khaimah later this year. George Akhras claimed the Aramex nearest the pin on hole 5, while Arshad Waheed won the Sport360° nearest the pin on hole 8.

    Hole 14’s Ecco Nearest the Pin was won by James Jackson, who also won the PWS Longest Drive Award on the 12th hole. Meanwhile, the organisers have announced that registration is open for the second regional qualifier, to be held at The Royal Golf Club, Riffa in Bahrain, on Saturday, March 21.
