  • Participants will make their way around the city, solving 10 exciting challenges along the way in an effort to reach the finish line in the fastest time. The winners will walk away with grand prizes worth Dh25,000, so there’s plenty of incentive to form your thrill-seeking crew.

For an idea of what could be in store, the previous race included presenting a script to actual television presenters, learning a salsa dance routine, making sushi rolls, completing an obstacle course, eating a snow cone, finishing a bootcamp activity, playing a game of darts, packing a char for relocation and finding pieces of items listed on a shipping list.

This time, 10 new challenges will be set up to test teams’ mental ability, physical strength and most importantly, team-work.

Each of the challenges is designed to test attributes like speed, fitness, accuracy, perseverance, patience and navigation. To do well, you and your fellow team member must find chemistry and work together to make spontaneous decisions to finish race in a good time.

Teams will consist of two people and will receive a clue to the next challenge after completing each challenge. If a team does not finish a task within the time limit, they’ll face a penalty.

Even if you don’t claim the grand prize, there’s still Dh15,000 in prizes for the next best team, while the following two finishers will earn prizes worth Dh7,000 and Dh3,000, respectively. All other teams will receive a goody bag.

Only basic fitness levels are required to participate and teams are permitted to use their phones and GPS to navigate around the city.

The registration fee is 350Dhs per team and registrations close April 5th. To register, click here.
