Increase frequency of high intensity workouts…

Surprise, surprise, to burn more fat you have to put in more time where you’re heart rate is in the fat burning zone?

High intensity workouts are workouts which increase your heart rate to a point where discomfort is not uncommon and difficulty to breathe becomes familiar (don’t kill yourself and respect where you’re fitness level is), but two to three times a week of high intensity workouts will help escalate your progress.

Eliminate/reduce consumption of processed foods, fried foods, and sugary foods…

These three criminals are the worse culprits to destroying lean abs.

When it comes to having lean abs, the saying “you are what you eat” is much more true than reaching defined legs or arms. The abdominal area is greatly impacted by what you eat, even from the day before or the morning of, so before you devour a side of french fries…

    Commit to working the core…

It’s easy to fall into the mindset of only caring about your stomach area when considering how to work the core and get to flat lean abs, but the core is an intricate network of layers of muscles which range from the stomach area, to the butt, to your back, to your thighs.

The intricacies of the core is why it acts as the body’s stabilizer and it is what helps maintain the balance of how the various muscles in your body works together to help you move in different ways. The ease and control you have over the movements of your body is all related to your core, and the stronger your core is the easier various movements are for your body.

This is why working the core goes beyond sit-ups and crunches, rather workouts like kettle bell swings and deadlifts; which involve weights, are some of the most effective core workouts out there.
