Max Calderan will host the inaugural Tropic of Cancer Marathon in Liwa on October 29.
The first of its kind in the region, the race is free to enter and open to anyone who wants to be part of the special event.
The race will have four different options: Ultramarathon distance (50km), Marathon distance (42km), Half Marathon (21km) and a fun race of 10km.
Desert conditions are much tougher than normal running terrain, so be sure to bring lots of water, snacks, blister plasters and a mobile phone.
The route is marked with flags and the course is a round trip on the same track.
