Following the success of the Ironstar Indoor Triathlon Series earlier this year, the popular race is back in the city again for a shorter and faster format that will be organised in the frames of Dubai Muscle Beach at Sheraton JBR on November 10, 2018.
The race consists of a swim, run, repeat format that also includes a CrossFit power course right next to the picturesque Eye of Dubai, which you can sign up for as an individual or teams of maximum two people.
At the end of the race, the participants can also relish a buffet along with a free entry to Dubai Muscle Beach, which is a great opportunity for participants to interact and meet like-minded fitness enthusiasts.
There are plenty of fantastic prizes up for grabs, so with this year’s Dubai Fitness Challenge right around the corner, it is the perfect time to challenge and push your boundaries to become healthier and fitter than ever.
The rules are simple: swim paddles and pull buoys are allowed during the race, but fins and snorkels are not.
Team members should go through each stage together and their times will only be clocked once the second member finishes the stage.
Both male and female participants will be sorted in the following age categories, 12-19, 20-44, and 45+.
The top three teams will be awarded at each stage regardless of their genders and spectators can purchase their breakfasts at the event store.
The Ironstar project was initiated with the objective of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, where they create events to mobilise athletes and athletic clubs to improve the quality of events and bring about a positive economic effect for host cities.
Their events include pro and age group races that involves para-athletes, team relay and kids race all around the world.
