Hi TriYASters. Two down, two to go. How is the training going? All well? Yes, I knew it. Let’s keep the RPM high for another week so that you can shift into higher gears.
This week is important, as you want to build some more intensity into your system.
Keep the intervals as suggested last week and build in some race specific workouts, such as open water swim with a deep water start, just like it will be in TriYAS, interval bike training on your race bike and race gear, then quick transition into your race and off you go onto a race-like brick run.
This will enable you to see how it will feel more or less in the race. This type of training will also give you confidence when THE day comes.
Since you have been training intensively now, it is also important to take care of your body and get a sports massage. This will help your muscles to release the lactic acid that has built up for weeks and will freshen you up for some more training. Keep it up! Train safe, until next week.
