    RAMADAN DUATHLON CHALLENGE

    Thursday, May 9

    Held at Dubai Autodrome on May 9, the race will be conducted in a run/bike/run format on a closed-off course to ensure safety and no traffic.

    Athletes of all ages and abilities can take part. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced athlete who has been competing all season or simply a beginner, the event is sure to match your level.

    You can compete either as an individual or in teams of two or three.

    Kids aged 12-17 can run 2.5km, bike 10km and run 2.5km.

    The full distance of a 5k run, 20k bike and 2.5k run will be for ages 18 and above, as well as all team categories for ages 12 and above.

    Teams can consist of all-male, all-female participants or be mixed.

    The event will take place at 21:00, with race pack collection from 19:00.

    RUN THE TRACK RAMADAN NIGHT RUN
    Friday, May 10

    Now in its third year, the Run The Track Ramadan Night Run has become a fixture of Dubai’s annual running events.

    Taking place on the floodlit club circuit at Dubai Autodrome, participants have the opportunity to be part of a unique event racing each other over three varying distances – 3km, 5km, and 10km on a real racetrack.

    With the finish line under the official chequered flag, and the running circuit following the actual lines of cars on the track, runners enjoy a unique spectacle.

    The Ramadan Night Run is suitable for runners of all abilities, and sees a diverse mix of ages, nationalities and abilities – from novice and first-time runners, to some of the best athletes in the UAE.

    This year’s Run The Track Ramadan Night Run is on May 10 with an official start time is 19:45 for the 5km/10km, with the 3km starting five minutes later at 19:50.

    ULTIMATE ATHLETICS RACE NIGHT
    Thursday, May 23

    The season finale of Ultimate Athletics Racenight is upon us as athletes prepare to take to the track one last time.

    The league points, taken from the first five Racenights, have been tallied and the season’s top performers will battle it out at the grand finale on May 23 in Dubai.

    League winner Yannick Kraus (U13) cemented his spot with a narrow win over Angus Bharucha to secure his fourth Racenight League success since the series began in 2016. Jayson Castillo also secured his third Racenight League win since the Masters category began in 2017.

    One to watch out for is current 100m senior record-holder Omari Barton-Ellington, who will be looking to protect his impressive 10.34 seconds record.

    Also in action is 100m and 200m champion Kimbely Baptiste. Baptiste’s records of 11.77 seconds in 100m and 23.66 seconds in 200m are expected to remain intact.
