  • Puma has announced its plans for the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Since its inception in 2017, the Dubai Fitness Challenge, also known as 30×30, has encouraged Dubai residents and visitors to lead a more active and healthier lifestyle, with this year’s activation running from October 30 to November 28.

The task is simple – 30 minutes of activity for 30 days straight – and Puma are on hand to help residents do their part.

The public can join in on a series of bespoke challenges on Puma Middle East’s channels and follow content from the brand’s global and regional trainers, that will be accessible on the Dubai Fitness Challenge website.

The PUMATRAC Challenge: PUMATRAC is a free training app and a connector to the people who think alike, helping its users turn the places where they work and live into spaces where they play. With a library of training and running content, the app is a smart learning engine that acts as a personal trainer,

and a platform that connects users to people, workouts, events, and everything PUMA. By using PUMATRAC, people can track their runs and receive step by-step guidance from some of the best trainers across the globe.

For the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Puma is inviting the public to download the PUMATRAC app, where they can earn points with each workout completed. A 30×30 leaderboard will be launched for Dubai users and the individuals who achieve the highest five scores will win some fresh PUMA gear at the end
    of the month.

@PUMAME Workout Series: The brand has brought together some of the best trainers in the region to showcase their individual workouts on the @PUMAME Instagram account. During the month, a new training session will be released every day on the channel’s IGTV, featuring workouts catered to various tastes such as dance, yoga, functional training and more. Trainers, including the likes of Justin Garcia, Rebecca Odeh, and Zoe Andersen, will be sharing 30 minutes of their signature workouts which will be available for both amateur and advanced fitness enthusiasts to achieve their daily goals.

Dubai Run: The Dubai Run has long become a staple of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. For its 2020 version, selected athletes will be offering 28-day long coaching programs in order to help runners reach new distances. Representing Puma is Luke Matthews, a multiple Ironman World Championship qualifier and elite triathlete. Matthews is also the co-founder of Ikonix Coaching, which offers training for triathletes, as well as other endurance sports. He has experience in assisting people with all skill levels – from beginners to professionals and will be coaching the 5km run, giving aspiring runners the opportunity to tap into his expertise. Registration is open on the Dubai Run website.

30 Marathons in 30 days: Puma’s own Souleymane Ghani has made headlines across the UAE this year for his unstoppable desire to run. The retail employee works a nine to five shift and still finds time for long-distance running every single day. For the Dubai Fitness Challenge, he has committed himself to running 45km daily and a total of 1,350km by the end of the month. This is roughly the same distance that it would take to run from Dubai to Riyadh.

Puma challenges the public to brave through 30×30 and as further encouragement, all PUMA stores across the UAE will be offering a 30% discount on all running and training gear. Some of the latest silhouettes such as the LQDCELL Method and the UltraRide are available and promise to optimize wearer’s performance during 30×30.

DFC is committed to creating a safe environment for one and all to be physically active. Public health and safety will remain paramount throughout the programme, with individuals advised to ensure all runs strictly follow preventative regulations as issued by the Dubai government, including social
    distancing.
