  • The event will take place in February over two days at the Burj Park Downtown Dubai.

Dubai is set to host the city’s largest all-inclusive yoga initiative – XYoga Dubai, a year-round multi-event celebration set to kick off across the city in 2016.

With the growing popularity of outdoor activities in the emirate, XYoga Dubai is designed to highlight the accessibility of yoga as a lifestyle choice to help encourage people to defy their bodily limits and mental boundaries.

    – #360fit: Best female-friendly supplements to take
    – #360fit: Best places to train in Dubai for free
    – #360fit: Yoga vs Pilates – which one is right for you?

Powered by XDubai and Dubai Tourism, the new yoga initiative will also encompass a two-day mega festival of the body and the mind – XYoga Dubai Festival, set to take place at the Burj Park Downtown Dubai, between 19-20 February 2016.

Helping participants to find the balance between work and leisure, XYoga Dubai Festival will be the first lifestyle event of its kind in the region with a series of free yoga sessions, workshops and talks for all ages and abilities, alongside a variety of live music sets and entertainment experiences for Dubai residents and visitors to enjoy.

Entry to the multi-event celebration is free.

With sessions available for people of all ages and abilities, XYoga Dubai Festival will host yoga classes such as Vinyasa Yoga and AcroYoga as well as meditation and healthy eating workshops for complete beginners, pre-trained instructors, pregnant women, children, elderly and more.

Awakening the energy of participants in the early morning winter sun, XYoga Dubai Festival expects to attract over 10,000 participants at the mass morning yoga session on the first day, February 19, and will be led by international yogi celebrities.

“Adding to our year-round calendar of diverse and vibrant events, we are proud of our partnership with XDubai to help bring together the new XYoga Dubai initiative as we celebrate the importance of an active lifestyle in Dubai,” said Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

“As we continue to take steps to offer a full variety of fun and attractive events for residents and visitors alike to enjoy, XYoga Dubai highlights the inclusivity that Dubai promotes as we welcome everyone from athletes, professional instructors, experienced and beginner yogis, parents and children to come down and enjoy the celebrations and will be a permanent part of our annual calendar.”

Ismael Al Hashmi, Managing Director of XDubai added: “At XDubai, we focus on putting together fun and exhilarating events for the public to enjoy.

“With our extreme sporting offerings which have included the launch of Jetman Dubai, XLine and XDubai Spartan Race, we recognised that there is a gap in the market in the region when it comes to yoga.

“We therefore were excited to join in the launch of XYoga Dubai initiative as a balance for all these adrenaline sports to offer something fun and enjoyable for our wider audience.

“It is set to be an amazing event for anyone that loves life and wants to embrace the active outdoor lifestyle that Dubai has to offer.

“XYoga Dubai is a region-wide celebration that will include a mega two-day festival in February, set to be a permanent fixture of Dubai’s annual calendar of events, and we are excited to welcome enthusiast from around to world to enjoy the inaugural event.”
Free for the public to attend, the event will run over two days from sunrise to sunset with opportunities available for all levels, ages and abilities.
