  • In command: Bayliss.

England coach Trevor Bayliss first overseas assignment will be against Pakistan two months later this year when his side tour the UAE for a full series comprising three Tests, four one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals.

The Australian who was appointed ahead of the ongoing Ashes series faces a stiff challenge as Pakistan are on an upswing in the Tests and they had a good measure of the Englishmen in their last visit in 2012 recording a clean sweep by winning all three Tests in the UAE.

Commenting on the series, ECB Chief Executive Officer Tom Harrison said: “We are pleased to have agreed the schedule for this series with the Pakistan Cricket Board.

    – T20I: Yasir Shah recalled to Pakistan squad
    – Ashes: Bairstow replaces Ballance for England

    – India: Rahane positive despite Zimbabwe tour

“Our last tour to UAE saw Pakistan win the Test series while we were victorious in both the ODI and T20 series.

“We expect this autumn’s tour will be equally hard fought and we trust that as many England fans as possible will make the trip to UAE to show their support for the team.”

All 14 matches of the series, including four practice games, are spread across the three main venues – Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi; Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
