  • James Pattinson removed three of NZ's top four in a lethal opening spell.

Retiring Brendon McCullum was unable to provide one last act of magic for New Zealand as Australia put themselves in pole position in Christchurch.

The tourists reduced the Black Caps to 121 for four after being bowled out for 505 earlier on Monday, McCullum falling for just 25 runs as James Pattinson took an impressive three wickets for just 29 runs.
