Order of Merit winners ready to strut their stuff at JGE

  • In their footsteps: EGF Order of Merit champions from last season.

    The fields will comprise of the top players from Men’s and Ladies Divisions and the Juniors in their respective Order of Merits.

    The Men’s Division, played in a gross format, was composed of 13 events and Christopher Rahm of Jumeriah Golf Estates was the champion with 239.9 points.

    During the season, Rahm had four first-place finishes and four top-five finishes out of the 10 events that he competed in. Steve Kelbrick, also representing the Jumeriah Golf Estates, was runner- up with 205 points for the season. Tiago Lobo, of Abu Dhabi Golf Club, was third with 199.55 points.

    In the Ladies’ Division, there were two categories – gross and net.

    Taking the top honors in gross category was JGE’s Alison Muirhead. She finished with 234 points in nine events, which included four wins and five top-five finishes. She also finished runner-up in the net category with 147 points.

    The Els Club’s Anastasia Bakal was second in gross category with 204 points, while Al Badia’s Madeleen Grosskopf was third with 152.

    Sakura Kawakami (170.3) from Al Ain Equestrian Shooting & Golf Club won the net division.

    Aryan Chordia of Dubai Creek won the Junior Gross title with 215.3 points, while Vijayesh Haridas (Al Badia) won the Net Division with 170.5 points.

    In the Girls’ divisions, Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s Da Eun Jung was the champion in both Gross and Net category. Jung had 241.5 points in gross and 228 in net competition.
