  • More than just a game: It’s Just Football’s Ramadan camp has grown each year.

Running from Sunday, June 12, to Thursday, June 16, and Sunday, June 19, to Thursday, June 23, at the Football Center in Al Quoz, Dubai, children aged between four and 16-years can learn exciting new tricks and skills in a fun and safe environment.

Now in its third edition, the camp has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2014.

Their summer camps have proved to be a big hit among the children and this year’s will surely be no different.

“This is the third time we’ve held this Ramadan Football Camp and it’s been really positive,” said Kane Cowburn, head coach and camp director at IJF.

“They’ve been building year on year and we’ve offered more weeks and longer sessions. We used to do half-days but there is a lot of demand for full-days and that is something that we now offer.

“Our football camps have grown in terms of popularity and numbers and that speaks volumes of how highly regarded it is by children and parents.”

During the camp, youths can compete in fun games and challenges as well as learning and developing their shooting, passing and defending skills.

Football-mad youngsters in the UAE can still enjoy their favourite sport at the IJF Ramadan Camp.

“Each day will come with a new theme and each game will be based on different attributes,” added Cowburn.

Running from 14:00 to 16:00, parents can choose from three options. One day costs Dh120, while it’s Dh330 for three days. For those who want to attend all five days, then it’s Dh500.

“It’s totally up to the parents how many days they want to book for their children,” said Cowburn. “We are there for the whole two weeks.

They can come for ever how long they want.

“It’s a great way for children to stay active throughout the summer.

It is all indoors and it will be in an air-conditioned facility and they learn new skills. Even if you’re not the biggest football fan, it will be a great chance to meet new people and make new friends.”
