Abu Dhabi’s destination for sport has paintball fields designed to bring out your inner marksman, even if you’ve never tried it before.
There are three zones in which you can test your skills and get a feel for different environments. Before you assemble a team or take on the competition solo, adjust your aim in the practice zone to find your range as you hit bottles and bowling pins from a distance.
Once you’re confident with your gun, choose either the speedball zone or the scenario zone. If you prefer to play an uptempo, non-stop game to get your blood pumping, the speedball zone is the perfect setting. Navigate through inflatable objects and knock out the opposing team to earn bragging rights.
The scenario zone, meanwhile, has 4,000 square metres of space to roam, filled with obstacles like trees, dunes and trenches, and will make you feel like you are in a real-life version of Call of Duty. Pick one of the five missions available, including the simple, but fun ‘capture the flag’.
Zayed Sports City also cater to birthday parties and corporate outings, offering the chance to make your special day memorable or provide a team-building activity through their packages which include food and a fun time.
Individuals and groups are bound to enjoy the adrenaline-filled paintball sessions.
There are four playing sessions, each running for 45 minutes. A field entry only costs Dh70, a basic session with 140 paintballs costs Dh100, a master session with 280 paintballs costs Dh180 and an extreme session is Dh295.
Depending on what session you go with, Zayed Sports City will provide anywhere from a mask, overalls and basic marker, to gloves, mod harness and body protectors. For safety reasons, players, who must be aged 12 and over, are required to wear a mask and closed-toe shoes.
