    Eidur Gudjohnsen is Iceland’s most renowned footballer. He rose to prominence during his stay at Chelsea in the Premier League.

    After six years at Stamford Bridge where he won two league titles and two league cups, he moved on to Barcelona where he enjoyed further success that included a historic treble in the 2008-09 season.

    Gudjohnsen made his international debut for Iceland in 1996, coming on as a substitute for his father, Arnor. He went on to become the country’s all-time top scorer with 26 goals in 88 appearances.
