    TOP STORY

Arsenal boss Unai Emery praised Mesut Ozil after he captained the Gunners to a 10th successive victory with a comeback win over Leicester on Monday.

The Foxes deservedly took the lead at the Emirates Stadium through Hector Bellerin’s own goal before Ozil levelled on the stroke of half-time.

The German, captaining Arsenal from the start for the first time, then played a pivotal role in a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace as the striker came off the bench to score twice for the second game running and secure a 3-1 win.

    FOOTBALL

The Champions League continues tonight with eight games taking place.

After their dramatic 2-2 draw with Chelsea at the weekend, Manchester United face Juventus in a marquee clash at Old Trafford. The Serie A giants will provide a stiff test for Jose Mourinho’s side. Read our key battles and tactical talking points ahead of the match.

In the pick of the other matches, defending champions Real Madrid are home to Viktoria Plzen, Bayern Munich travel to Greece to face AEK Athens and in-form Manchester City are away to Shakhtar Donetsk.

    CRICKET

Sri Lanka veteran spinner Rangana Herath has announced his decision to retire from cricket following the completion of the first Test against England.

The 40-year-old will call time on his 19-year international career at his favourite venue – Galle. The left-arm spinner has picked up 99 wickets at the venue and should he get to the century-mark, he will become only the second bowler after Muttiah Muralitharan to do at the ground.
