  • Almost everyone who is a diehard Marvel fan remembers Black Widow’s bike chase in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron blockbuster.

But only hardcore stunt fans would have known that the real talent behind Black Widow’s seamless riding skills was none other than French rider, and newest addition to XDubai’s roster of athletes, Sarah Lezito.

Her pretty looks and charming smile are a true testament to the age-old proverb ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’, for her delicate exterior is just a cover-up for her roaring daredevil spirit underneath.

The 26-year-old is considered to be the best stunt woman in the world and found her niche in a sport that has otherwise been primarily dominated by men, but the community was always welcoming towards her and helped her reach the level she is at today.

“I used to hang out with the boys during my childhood, and we were spending our free time trying to do wheelies on our bicycles and then motorcycles as we got older,” the Hollywood stunt rider told Sport360. “I always had a lot of help from my friends and the riders I met on the stunt training circuit. It was like being in a family where everyone helps each other.”

“This is another reason why I stuck with this sport with a unique state of mind; every new rider coming on a spot, regardless of their skills or anything, we help! I learned pretty much all my stunts and mechanical knowledge just hanging out on the parking lots to ride my bike with people,” she added.

Lezito spent most of her childhood doing tricks on bicycles with her friends and at a very young age, she became aware of the numerous hazards associated with the sport and was a source of worry for her parents.

Not that it ever held her back. Now, as a professional stunt woman and an integral part of the stunting community, Lezito feels the sport needs more women both at home and abroad.

“There are not enough women. In France there are even less now than a few years ago. Through my travels, I recently met other stunt girls from all around the world. The skills keep coming and I am glad to get some motivation,” she said. “I used to challenge the boys for more than 10 years, so when I see a girl on social media landing something new, it gives me the weird feeling to go training on the exact same thing, the same day.”

Lezito also insists that social media is a powerful tool to get more girls involved in the sport and uses her platform to create more opportunities for girls to show off their talent.

“Girls need to know that they can achieve whatever they want as long as they put in the work for it. That’s why I keep going on competitions and posting on social media; don’t be afraid of what everyone else is saying and believe in what you truly want,” she said.

Lezito recently made her debut with XDubai, home to action sports in the region and at the forefront of bringing global events to Dubai. As one of six women signed to the brand, she is excited about the opportunities that the alliance has in store.

She was featured in a video showcasing her world-famous skills on the Bluewaters YouTube channel as part of debutwatch below.
