Byblos to face Beirut in the Final of the Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship

    Byblos will face Beirut in the final of the Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship after progressing through a thrilling semi final round.

    The semi finals were full of action and surprises with victories for Byblos over Baalbek and Beirut saw off Zahle Team. The games were under the supervision of the Dubai Sports Council and UAE Basketball Federation.

    In the first game, Byblos managed to end the tie against Baalbek with a dominating performance by the MVP Rawad Rahme who finished the game with a whopping 40 points.

    In the second semi-final, Beirut upset the favourites and got the win over Zahle Team in a highly competitive game that ended with a close score of 79 – 75 and an inspired display from Beirut’s Rony Khoury.

    The Most Valuable Players of the games won each a 200 AED Decathlon voucher and the awards were handed by founder of High Five Mr. Bahi Rifai.

    The final game will take place on Sunday May 16, 2021 at 8:00 PM at Al Wasl Sports Club and an award ceremony will follow straight after.
