Sports Mania tipped-off the first edition of W-League; the ultimate women basketball league that gathers basketball ladies living in the UAE.
This championship is under the supervision of Dubai Sports Council and UAE Basketball Federation & supported by Sport360, Bella Contact Lenses, Mai Dubai & 961 Slash.
Six teams, Oryxes – Champs – Ballers Nation – Sparks – Mirdif Falcons – Phoenix were fighting for the title. The tournament was played at Champs Sports Club Jebel Ali and all games are being broadcasted on Sports Mania Facebook Page.
Exciting weeks of games lead 4 teams to the semi-finals. Champs team grabbing the win over Phoenix with Sana Tchalabi being awarded the most valuable player of the game. Oryxes were victorious over Ballers Nation, inspired by a great performance by match MVP Orlaith Woods & Sara Youssef.
Champs faced Oryxes in a tough Final game, which ended in last second in favor of champs with a final score of 53-52.
At the end of the game individual & team awards were distributed in the presence of the Legend & Champs Owner Mr. Fadi El Khatib & Bella Contact Lens UAE Business Development Manager Mr. Charbel Kanaan, as follows:
