TITUS BRAMBLE (34): Not a hero in the sense you would expect but Bramble became a bit of cult hero in England. The former Newcastle centre-back turns 34 today and is currently a coach at his first club Ipswich Town. He joined Newcastle in 2002 for £6 million but endured a torrid time on Tyneside.
Hapless errors, missed touches and own goals led readers of the football e-mail newsletter The Fiver to vote Bramble as the worst player of the year in the Premier League in his first season.
Bramble did, though, enjoy a stand-out campaign while at Wigan in 2008-09 picking up the ‘Player of the Year’ and ‘Players’ Player of the Year’ awards.
KYOKO IWASAKI (37): Former swimmerm, who won gold in the 200 metres breaststroke at the 1992 Olympics.
ANDRIY VORONIN (36): Retired Ukrainian footballer who last played for Dynamo Moscow.
DEANDRE JORDAN (27): Centre in the NBA who currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.
