  • Dubai Sports World (DSW) has become a major hub for indoor sports activities this Ramadan – so don’t miss your chance to get involved before the end of the month.

Sports fanatics have been making the most of the indoor arena in Dubai World Trade Centre’s Sheikh Saeed Halls throughout the Holy Month, taking part in corporate leagues, friendly matches and fitness challenges.

There has been a significant increase in visitor numbers as scores of guests make the most of the evenings to socialise with family and friends.

UAE-based companies and government organisations like Duplays, Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to name a few, are running various tournaments for employees and the general public.

But don’t despair, the action is far from over. DSW’s partner academies IFA Sports, Tennis360, MPAC Sports and Maxtalent Global Cricket Training Institute are offering coaching clinics during the day, ensuring children have an exciting outlet to fuel their passion for sports throughout the summer months.

“Dubai Sports World presents a unique experience for families and friends to get together during the holy month of Ramadan to socialise and play sports,” said Ahmed Alkhaja, Vice President – Venue Management, Dubai World Trade Centre.

“As part of DWTC’s commitment to residents and visitors, we are delighted to provide this combination of world-class facilities, welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity for everyone to get together during this month of sharing.

“One can also make the most of the adjacent Ramadan Majlis for Iftar or Suhoor, or Modesh World that is also taking place at DWTC, followed by some sporting fun at Dubai Sports World, all under the same roof.”

Running until August 31, Dubai Sports World’s feast of sport includes football leagues, rugby tournaments, basketball and cricket matches, futsal, volleyball, American football, beach soccer, tennis, fitness areas, as well as a variety of leisure offerings like billiards and table tennis.

The adjacent Ramadan Majlis will be open until August 20, offering an Iftar buffet and an à la carte menu until 3am daily, featuring fine traditional cuisine that is served in true Ramadan style by DWTC’s award-winning catering team.
