Dubai Karate Centre to host Judo Championship

  • The Dubai Karate Centre will host the annual Dubai Judokai Club Open Championship on Friday, January 20 for the third year running.

    Held under the patronage of the UAE Wrestling Judo and Kickboxing Federation, the Dubai Judokai Club Open Championship will see over 60 male and female students from across 10 different martial arts clubs take part in the largest annual competition to-date.

    Male and female students aged 14-18 from across local clubs in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah, GCC and from international countries will battle it out in their competition categories from 8am-4pm.

    The event will consist of three qualify rounds in each weight and age category before the final round at 3pm.

    Donal Kilalea, Managing Partner, Dubai Karate Centre said: “This is the third year we are hosting the annual Dubai Judokai Club Open Championships at the Dubai Karate centre and we are looking forward to welcoming all the students and their supporters to the centre so we can crown our champions.”

    Organisers are urging family and friends to support those taking part and arrive at the Dubai Karate Centre, Al Raizi Boys School from 11am onwards for all the action.
