  • Pound the rock: Barracudas back Jacob Dhaher powers through.

The Dubai Barracudas continued to roll in an unusual eight-on-eight format as they defeated the Al Ain Desert Foxes 30-0 to remain unbeaten in the Emirates American Football League.

For the second straight game, the Desert Foxes were without the necessary numbers to field 11 players, so both teams agreed to play the reduced version yesterday at Zayed Sports City.

The change didn’t slow down the Barracudas though as they dominated again to give them three wins and a tie through four games.

Dubai got off to a shaky start as the first play of the game saw quarterback Zavier Cobb lose a fumble, but Al Ain couldn’t capitalise for their first points of the season.

From there, the Barracudas settled in to score two rushing touchdowns in the first half by Jacob Dhaher and Quinton Collins, before Jordan Rodriguez and Cobb got in on the action with an endzone reception each.
