  • Big money move: Pallasator (r) will still be ridden by long-term partner Luke Morris at York.

Betfred Ebor favourite Pallasator remains on target for a tilt at Europe's most valuable staying handicap at York after being snapped up by leading owners Qatar Racing.

Sir Mark Prescott's progressive stayer opened his account for the campaign with an impressive display at Ascot late last month and the form received a significant boost when the runner-up, Double Bluff, struck gold at Glorious Goodwood a week ago.

Jockey Luke Morris has partnered Pallasator on six of his eight career appearances and although Sheikh Fahad's Qatar Racing operation employ Jamie Spencer as retained rider, racing manager David Redvers has confirmed Morris will keep the ride at York on August 23.

Redvers said: "We decided to move post-Goodwood after Mark Johnston's horse (Double Bluff) franked his form.

"The Ebor very much remains the plan and Luke Morris will keep the ride at York. That was part of the conditions of the sale.

"He's a very exciting horse and we hope he will develop into a horse better than a handicapper in time."
