  • Winner: Royston Ffrench on Mutual Force is led into the parade ring after winning the 11.09f Chengdu Dubai International Cup

Jebel Ali takes pride of place on Friday, a fascinating 1,400m the highlight with Encipher looking to repeat his course and distance victory of four weeks ago.

    – Areem denied Purebred hat-trick by stable companion Thakif

He also won that same race last year when trained by Ismail Mohammed.

Now trained by Ali Rashid Al Raihe for the Oman Royal Cavalry, he will again be ridden by Royston Ffrench as he was last month.

The horse is seeking a third consecutive win having also won his final start last season, in Muscat.

When Ffrench’s mount won in Muscat in April, the same owner’s Atlantic Brave was third and is again in opposition with Silvestre De Sousa riding for Musabah Al Muhairi.

Erwan Charpy saddled Asitir, who surprised many when making a winning dirt and local debut here two weeks ago.

That was also over 1,400m and he ran on late to snatch the spoils under Wayne Smith.

Dhruba Selvaratnam introduces Saayerr, having only his eighth career start and a Group 2 winner in England in 2013.

Owned by Sheikh Ahmed, he may be best watched on his dirt and local debut.

Stable jockey Oisin Murphy rides as he does stable companion Morawij in the following 1,200m handicap.

His opponents include Spin Cycle, winner of the 2011 Jebel Ali Sprint and scoring for the first time since when landing a course and distance handicap four weeks ago.

He is trained by Satish Seemar and the mount of stable jockey, Richard Mullen.
