    With a career spanning more than five decades in football, Fabio Capello is one of the most recognisable Italian faces in the game.

    Capello, who turns 70 today, played in the Serie A from 1964 to 1980 before retiring and turning to coaching. As a player, he was a midfielder and spent several years at Roma, Juventus and Milan.

    He was most successful with Juventus, winning three Serie A titles in 1972, 1973 and 1975 and was capped 32 times with the Italian national team.

    In his first five seasons as a manager he won four Serie A titles with Milan, where he also won the 1993–94 UEFA Champions League.

    He then spent a year at Real Madrid, where he won La Liga title at his first attempt, and in 2001 led Roma to their first league title in 18 years.

    He coached England for four years and most recently Russia from 2012-2015.

    1982: Nadir Belhadj, Algerian footballer. Plays as a left winger. Competed in the 2010 FIFA World Cup (34).

    1983: Billy Slater, Australian rugby league player. Was the Kangaroos’ 2008 World Cup’s top try-scorer (33).

    1986: Richard Gasquet, French tennis player, ranked No10 in the world (30).
