  • (Clockwise): Ama're Stoudemire, Waqar Younis and Paul Scholes.

One of the greatest footballers of his generation, Scholes enjoyed a trophy-laden career with Manchester United.

Turning 42 today, he won a whopping 5, 11 of which were Premier League titles, and two Champions Leagues, three FA Cups and two League Cups.

Tricky Scholes was known for his breathtaking range of passing, technical skills and goal-scoring prowess.

He played his entire career with the Red Devils, making 718 appearances, which is the third-highest number by any player for the club.

On the international stage, Scholes represented the England national team from 1997 to 2004 and earned 66 caps.

He played for the Three Lions at the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, as well as at Euro 2000 and Euro 2004. Scholes finally called it a day for good in 2013 and is now a co-owner of Salford City.
