Nico de Corato: A man, a run and 100 km of Dubai’s roads and desert

    Nico de Corato is what some would call an extreme runner. His goal is to push himself for more in all pursuits.

    This is the goal that has led to his attempt to complete a 100km run, on occasion of the 44th UAE National Day.

    In this attempt Nico, an Italian, who is owner and founder of DubaiBlog, will be followed by Max Calderan, an extreme desert explorer and founder of the Desert Academy (www.desert.academy).

    Max has trained Nico for the attempt and prepared to achieve his first desert marathon only a few months ago.

    The idea of running the 100km on that day is to celebrate the UAE National Day, a country that has provided Nico and countless others so many opportunities and the place that began his love of the desert.

    The starting point of The Meydan Hotel & Racecourse (home of the prestigious Dubai World Cup), is a symbol of the new Dubai, and the finish point will be the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, located in the heart of the Dubai desert this represents the represents the origins of the wondrous Emirate and city.

    START: December 1, 2015 – 12:00 PM (NOON) at The Meydan Hotel & Racecourse
    FINISH: December 2, 2015, (approximately 20 / 24 hours later) at the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort
    COURSE: Starting from The Meydan Hotel and Racecourse it will lead to Bab Al Shams Desert Resort along the roads and open sands adjacent Dubai -­‐ Al Ain Road
