  • Aiming high: NAS Dubai athletes in action.

Nord Anglia International School (NAS) Dubai pupils will have the best possible preparation for their tournaments this season after teaming up with a number of   sporting academies.

NAS Dubai has only been open for three years but they already have big sporting ambitions.

To ensure the school remain competitive, KAFO Football Academy, M&S Swimming Academy, DU Gymnastics and Diverse Dance are just some of the top academies who will be working alongside NAS Dubai’s PE department to ensure collaborative lessons are delivered to students.

Their aspiring track and field athletes, and netball and rugby players can also take advantage of specialist coaching from Heartbeat Sports, while ICC Academy will train promising cricketers.

The school hopes the students can progress to higher levels as part of their ‘sport for all’ philosophy.

“Collaborative working partnerships with specialist coaching companies enable NAS Dubai to deliver the highest quality PE and co-curricular opportunities to all students,” said Danny Thomas, PE teacher. “We are looking forward to a new and exciting sporting year.”

Since the start of the academic year, there were also an impressive turn-out for various sports trials.

“More than 75 per cent of our secondary boys have competed in the football trials,” said PE teacher Adam Smith.

“The level of ball control and general skill was of the highest standards and we anticipate an extremely successful season ahead.”
