After overseeing JSS International School’s sporting success in the UAE and abroad, there was another reason for the Dubai institution to celebrate when their head of PE claimed a prestigious award in India.

Boban Chacko received the Best PE Teacher accolade at the Physical Education Foundation of India awards in New Delhi at the weekend after his continuous support for JSS saw them excel in various sports in the UAE and overseas.

“I feels great to receive this prestigious award and it is a reward for my hard work and efforts,” he said.

“I am happy with the performance of my athletes in inter school competitions and national events and my ambition is their international level participation. I thank the selection committee of Physical Education Foundation of India for considering me and I am truly honoured to have won a prestigious award.”

Lata Nakra, principal of JSS International School, added: “We congratulate Boban on his achievement. Sport is an integral and important part of our lives at JSS International School. Besides being an experienced PE teacher, he is also an inspiring leader. With his team, he has brought many laurels to the school with his effective training in all sports both at the local and international level. He is truly an asset to the school and the school is proud and honoured to have him as the head of the PE department.”
