The event will take place on Friday, February 19 at the Oceanic Hotel Resort and Spa, just a short drive from Dubai in the scenic Khorfakkan.
Though the race is a short distance triathlon, it will be challenging nonetheless for all participants.
The course will start with a 800m swim in the natural bay, followed by a 30km cycle through the hills and finally a 7km run on the Khorfakkan Corniche, where triathletes will cross the finish line.
“The Oceanic Triathlon Series are delighted to be able to bring a brand new short course event to the beautiful town of Khorfakkan,” said Trace Rogers, race director.
“With its picturesque location combined with an exciting, yet challenging course it’s set to be a great event.
“Whether you are a seasoned triathlete or starting your triathlon journey this event has it all.”
Prizes will be awarded to first-place, second-place and third-place finishers for male and female age categories. A wide range of age categories are offered: 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79.

Social and corporate categories are also available for those wanting to race in teams.

The final day to register is Friday, February 12, but don’t wait until the last minute as spots will fill up and entries will close if the race is sold out.
Collect your race pack at TRI Pod on February 16 from 10:00 to 19:00 and at the race venue on February 18 from 14:00 to 21:00.
