    The NBA is a league known for creating opportunities for women – Jenny Boucek is someone who has grasped it with both hands. After a very successful stint coaching in the WNBA, Boucek became only the third woman in history to hold an Assistant coach position in the NBA when she joined the staff of the Sacramento Kings. Last year she went on to become the first female Assistant coach of the Dallas Mavericks Mavericks’ coach Rick Carlise has gone on record stating Boucek is ‘one of the brightest minds in the game today.’

  • Tickets on sale for Abu Dhabi World Judo Championships to be held at Mubadala Arena

  • – Boucek was pregnant when she got the Mavericks job – and now juggles her role with being a mum.

    – Boucek played in the WNBA with the Cleveland Rockers, and also in Iceland where she was named overseas player of the year.

    – This all follows a successful collegiate career – twice being named Defensive Player of the Year.

    Did you know…

    Boucek’s playing career was cut short by a back injury. Undeterred, she wanted to stay in basketball and got into coaching. Two decades later she has the basketball world at her feet.
