  • On a weekend in which Munster and Leinster sealed convincing wins, there were some excellent individual displays in both the Premiership and PRO14 leagues.

From a superb attacking display from Bath speedster Joe Cokanasiga to another commanding performance by Joey Carbery, we’ve picked out the top performers from the latest round of fixtures.

    JOE COKANASIGA (BATH)

Bath’s Zach Mercer deserves a mention for his two tries, but it was his team-mate Cokanasgina who ran riot with ball in hand at the Twickenham Stoop.

The 20-year-old winger pressed his claim for a spot in Eddie Jones’ England side with two tries in their 37-32 win over Harlequins.

Aside from his two superb touch downs, Cokasagnai made 151 metres for 14 runs and beat five defenders. He also paved the way for Jamie Roberts’ try early in the game.

    JOEY CARBERY (MUNSTER)

The Munster fly-half continued his strong start to life in Limerick with another virtuous display in the 49-13 win over Ospreys.

In his first start for the Red Army, Carbery scored a try and kicked five conversions as Johann van Graan’s side sealed their second win of the season.

Apart from his contribution from the tee, the 22-year-old looked confident when taking the ball into hand, linking well and getting his outside backs firing.

    DARREN SWEETNAM (MUNSTER)

Another sterling display from the winger, who registered his second try of the season against a struggling Ospreys side.

The Cork man made nine runs for 111 metres and caused the Swansea side all sorts of problems with and without the ball.

His try was a neat finish too, with Ian Keatley and Arno Botha combining to send him weaving over from close range after the hour mark.

One of most underrated players in the league.

    JORDAN LARMOUR (LEINSTER)

The 21-year-old continued where he left off at the end of last campaign, beating a stunning 11 defenders for 87 metres and making four clean breaks in Leinster’s comprehensive 52-10 win over the Dragons.

His quick feet and pace is simply impossible to stop and after causing riot for large spells of the game, Larmour capped off a fine performance with a sizzling try on 49 minutes.

    GEORGE SMITH (BRISTOL)

The Australian flanker may have finished on the losing team, but he proved to be a titanic presence in Bristol’s 35-13 defeat to Gloucester.

Leading 13-3 at half-time, Pat Lam’s side looked in firm control but five second half tries steered Gloucester to their third straight win of the new Premiership season.

In 38-year-old Smith, the gallant Bears had a real gem of a player, who showed serious work-rate and commitment with 21 successful tackles.
