DP World, title sponsors of the DP World Tour Championship, the season- ending event on the European Tour, have showed their commitment to the amateur game as well by supporting the recent visit of biomechanics expert Jean-Jacques Rivet to work with the UAE national teams.
Rivet is the well known Head of Biomechanics & Sports Performance of the European Tour Performance Institute (ETPI) in Terre Blanche, France, and he was in the sister facility in Dubai recently, at the Jumeirah Golf Estates-based ETPI.
Rivet’s visit was part of a weeklong programme which also saw 21 of the European Challenge Tour players use the Jumeirah Golf Estates ETPI facilities and tap into the Frenchman’s expertise in preparation for this week’s season-ending NBO Golf Classic Grand Final in Oman.

Rivet was excited about the prospect working with the players again having already hosted them at the facility in France where they trained for 10 days in September in preparation for the recent Nomura Cup, which was held at Yas Links, Abu Dhabi. “It’s great to visit our sister ETPI in Dubai,” said Rivet.
“Like Terre Blanche, the facilities here are state-of-the-art and amateur golfers in the UAE, as well as the professionals who visit here, are really fortunate to have a place like this to come and develop their games.
